You want to program the display with Codesys, because that can't be done. You can only use WinCC Flexible or TIA Portal for the programming. Or you want to connect the HMI to a codesys controller?

It depends on the controller features, what connections are available to use, and also the HMI, is it Profibus and/or Profinet. You should go through the manual of the controller, to see what connections it is supporting, and then comapre with the HMI connection properties.
