What I'm looking for:

- An output that is active for 7 short and 1 long period as long as the input is active. 

This unit is supposed to be installed in a boat. Since it could be a "harsh" enviroment, I didn't want to use Arduino for this. So I found and bought a Siemens Logo! starter pack. In normal programming languages there is no problem for me to make this happen, but since I'm not familiar with PLC-programming, I would like a hint in the right direction.

First of all: Is it possible to manually code a program in Logo!? Or do you need to use the blocks and "draw" the program?

I would like to control the Output1 from Input1. As long as the Input1 is active, I would like the following status on Output1:

{

      {

          Active (500 ms)

          Not active (500 ms)

      }  x 7 times (the above instructions)

Active (3000 ms)

Not active (1000 ms)

} xconstantly repeat the outer loop.

I would appriceate any help that anyone would give me.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply and extremely good help. This was much more than I could've dreamt of. I've played a little with the program you made, and I think I now understand all the parts of it. But this I would have never figured out on my own.

I see that it's time to fresh up the old logic knowledge if I should continue using Logo! in the future.
