For example, looking at the following data structure: [code] STRUCT SYNTAX_ID : BYTE := B#16#82; bereich_u_einheit :byte := B#16#AC; spalte :word := W#16#6A6; zeile :word := W#16#1; bausteintyp :byte := B#16#1A; ZEILENANZAHL : BYTE := B#16#1; typ :byte := B#16#5; laenge :byte := B#16#2; END_STRUCT ; [/code] What is the variable to which it refers? What is the "area"? Is there a way to query the NCvar selector database "in the reverse order"? Thanks a lot.

If life is long enough you go through each function in NC VAR and create a DB for it until you find the same memory areas adressed. Pee

Then, by opening the databases "ncv_NcData.mdb", "ncv_611d.mdb", etc. with a database tool (such as Microsoft Query), and executing the following query: [code] SELECT VariableTable.Bereich, VariableTable.Einheit, VariableTable.Baustein, VariableTable.VarName, VariableTable.VarTyp, VariableTable.VarAnzByte, VariableTable.Zeile, VariableTable.Spalte FROM VariableTable VariableTable WHERE (VariableTable.Baustein='M') ORDER BY VariableTable.Spalte [/code] it is possible to obtain a table with all entries with the "M" baustein type looking in the table for the spalte: [code] spalte:word:=W#16#6A6; => 1702 [/code] it is easy to find out the variable name: "MOTOR_TEMPERATURE" ...not so easy, but I have reached the goal...

Apam Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi 8Noodles, I would like not to use NC-Var Selektor and generate AWL Code from other software. In other words, create "another" NCVAR with some specifications for my application. This files would be perfect, I assume in this .mdb is all the information I need to generate 10bytes struct. Actually, I have already almost all information to generate it. But I need to know if variable is multi-line , multi-column, and the number of the column for a variable. Thanks!
