Hello, I am trying to wire some 4-20mA ultransoinc sensors to this Analog input card 6ES7134-6HD01-0BA1. Is this card only for loop powered 4-20ma devices? Thanks |

Yes, one terminal of each current imput is connected to a DC power supply in order to supply loop power, as the yellow high-lighted descriptions state in the link below. The current inputs are not compatible with active powered sourcing analog outputs. [snip] The card also has voltage inputs (shown on the right side in the diagram). You could drop the 4-20mA across a 500 resistor (across the input terminals) and get 2-10Vdc signal which you'd have to scale appropriately on the 0-10V input range. |
