I have a project where I need to connect a confort panel TP700 using profibus, the PLC is an S7400 with a profibus CP-443-5, how to configure the panel, I cannot link the panel to display data from the PLC.

Can anybody help me.

In Siemens' world, an operator panel using Profibus acts as a Profibus Master Class 2, while the PLC acts as a Master Class1. Profibus-DP connections are defined in the panel, you only need to know the Profibus address of the CP 443-5 from your PLC hardware configuration.

For more details, we need to know a bot more about your project: What WinCC software version are you using to connect the panel to the PLC? Which Step 7 software version are you using to program your PLC?

The PLC  is in PCS7, and for the panel I use TIA portal V15, the CP 443-5 is used as a master with address 2.

Hi,

the connection "Conexion_1" you added is not an HMI-connection (different symbol on the beginning of the line).

Try the following please:

1. Click on "Conexiones con controladores S7 en Dispositivos y nedes". This opens devices and networks.

2. Select connections (yellow marking in attached picture) and HMI connection.

3. Right click on the HMI > Create new connection. Select the Profibus interface of the HMI. Click add and close.

Then you find the HMI-connection in the connections of the HMI. Use that one instead of "Conexion_1".
