Sdd Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have S7-300 system where Motion control drive is connected on profibus as slave through CP 342-5. CPU is 314 IFM. I am getting F082 Fault in the drive intermittently. The value of P722 =10ms. I made P722=0ms.Now I get Alarm A083.I increased the time P722=400ms however it doesnot help.I have checked the Profibus connection, CBP card and the same is OK. Please help. SDD

mumbles Posts: 160 Rating: (16)	Hi, Try lowering your baudrate and see if this fixes the problem. Most issues with Profibus will be the cabling installation and namely how well the shield is connected.

So,installing a repeater in the profibus net (6ES7972-0AA01-0AX0) can I increase the baud rate ? What is the right way to connect shieldwith profibus cable ? Best regards .

ROM Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	'hope this help you out buddy. If you are using a CBP2 check the status of the 3 leds; normal state all 3 should be flashing at the same time. I have a file for Profibus topologiesbut more than 1 MB send me a message If anyone wants it.

simaticmanager Posts: 150 Rating: (5)	hello if thetermination and cabling of proffibus is proper then the F082 (if it comes for short period of time ) is as per my experience is due to noise in profibus nw. pls check the ac voltage between shield of profibus and gnd its level should be 0. try to set seprate earthing pit for the system. to lower down the baud rate is also a sollution but it cant remove the problem permanently. if the profibus nw useses some active devices ;ike op then the communication resources mus be checked for cpu

yaseen Posts: 21 Rating: (4)	Hello We use the same set up on our rigs. and many times we get this problem because of grounding problem. If the PLC ground is not same as that of the drive ground you normaly get this fault.Best thing is to run a cable between PLC ground to Drive ground. For us that is the solution. Good luck
