qwemx Silver Member Joined: 12/28/2016 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 364 Rating: (6)	I need to use 4 logo units for a project and all these 4 should be connected to a HMI please see the attached pdf and program also where i have sketched the design is it possible to do this with Logo and HMI , can i also reset alarm and silence alarm from the HMI Attachment Files.zip (590 Downloads)

If it is only the acknowledgment of 2 alarms in the 4 LOGO!s, you can send only to one LOGO! from the HMI. Then send the two acknowledgment bits by using the VM range from the HMI to the first LOGO! and this then forwards the bits to the other 3 LOGO!s. Or you take an HMI, which can manage at least 4 connections and sends the acknowledgment bits by using of the VM range from the HMI to each LOGO!.

Did you solved your problem? i am now thinking to go for S7-1200 controller . I have asked the local Siemens guy to help me with this , i sent him email today he said that he will respond back meanwhile i also got an email from Siemens from support request. It says :- Dear Sir/Madam, It is possible to connect multiple logo controllers to an HMI panel for sure. However, it is restricted by a couple of factors: ·Type of connection used i.e. PPI or MPI or Ethernet ·Series of HMI panel used, which limits the number of connections ·Software used to configure the HMI panel e.g. Protool or WinCC flexible or WinCC TIA portal. I need to make this decision if i go with logo or S7-1200 and seeing that there could be some limitations i want to use s7-1200 Logo will be cheaper it might be more difficult to connect logo to other logo and HMI i am also working on HMI design and programming with TIA for 1200 .

With what part of the answer do you have problems? LOGO! can neither PPI nor MPI, the 0BA8.Standard can only Ethernet TCP/IP and since the FS04 also Modbus TCP/IP.

qwemx Silver Member Joined: 12/28/2016 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 364 Rating: (6)	I have finished writing the logo Program for this application (attached ) there are 5 inputs to each logo and there are 4 logo so total 20 inputs from the HMI there will be 4 signals to be sent to Logo (Test lamp , Accept , Alarm Mute , Reset Alarm) i am attaching the Program and a sketch which explains everything , I have not worked on VM mapping before so i will need help on that . Different in the programs there is only by the ranking of the commands from the HMI. The IP addresses of the LOGO!s and the HMI you have to adjust, since they are not known to me. In WinCC you have to connect to the LOGO! 1, for the other 3 LOGO!s, LOGO! 1 ranks the commands. The buttons for the commands to the respective LOGO! you must assign the following operands in WinCC: LOGO! 1: Lamp Test = DB1.DBX 0.0 Accept = DB1.DBX 0.1 Alarm Mute = DB1.DBX 0.2 Reset Alarm = DB1.DBX 0.3 LOGO! 2: Lamp Test = DB1.DBX 1.0 Accept = DB1.DBX 1.1 Alarm Mute = DB1.DBX 1.2 Reset Alarm = DB1.DBX 1.3 LOGO! 3: Lamp Test = DB1.DBX 2.0 Accept = DB1.DBX 2.1 Alarm Mute = DB1.DBX 2.2 Reset Alarm = DB1.DBX 2.3 LOGO! 4: Lamp Test = DB1.DBX 3.0 Accept = DB1.DBX 3.1 Alarm Mute = DB1.DBX 3.2 Reset Alarm = DB1.DBX 3.3 Attachment Engine_Alarm_1-4.zip (393 Downloads)
