Is it possible to order one or download the image to create one? - Since Industrial OS is proprietary Siemens Software: What distribution models are available? For example: One of our customers buys some IoT2050s (Advanced) and wants to use our application (Binary, run as a systemd service), but does not have any Linux skills. Can we provide him an Industrial OS Image with our application installed, provided that he only uses it on the IoT2050 Advanched? Bonus Question: Is there any documentation on the IoT2050 Industrial OS? Especially on how GPIOs are mapped to sysfs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Benedikt

I can then provide the image to you. For now only the pre-installed Industrial OS version for the IOT2050 Advanced is available. Delivering an image to your customer with the binary installed should be no problem. The question is how to get it to the customers IOT2050.. At least the boot order needs to be changed on the customer devices to boot from USB / SD card in order to flash your image to the eMMc. This would require some basic linux skills or an instruction what to do. In any way it causes some effort which needs to be done in customer side. It was much more easy before the IndOS came pre-installed.. To answer your bonus question: There is a some documentation I will send to you together with the Service Stick image, but I am not aware of the mapping GPIO -> sysfs. As far as I know from example image there is no fixed mapping and we always recommend to use mraa. Best regards!

You can post your email address here and delete it after receiving the download link (due to forum terms). There is a way I guess, but that requires installing a new NodeJS version, as the pre-installes comes without npm and I don't know how to install only npm. Another thing would be using the Example Image, which I suggest when it comes to the usage of node-red. Best regards!

I sent IndOS V2.2, you either update your existing system, re-install from scratch (which solves some more bugs I guess) or leave it like it is and only use the stick for installing node-red. You can either plug in the service stick and choose update V2.1 to V2.2 or you can boot the IOT2050 from the stick and choose Install to re-install everything. Don't know whether this makes a difference to be honest. Best regards!
