This is usually a mismatch in the parameters set on the control to those on the receiving computer.

I always set 5011 and 5013 to 11000111

the receiving computer is then set to 9600 baud, no parity and 2 stop bits. If it still fails try odd and then even parity.

I assume the file is plc machine data.

I've compared it to an 820 plc machine data file and there is no logic to your file.

I would normally expect to be able to modify the hex codes to find the problem but your file doesn't have enough different hex codes to make up a plc data file, It appears to output a leader and a trailer OK but then your file header has 66 7e 1e 1e 66 66 00. This should correspond to %tea2 but it has two lots of the same number. i.e. 1e1e and 66 66  see upload

The problem doesn't look like parity or stop bits.

Hi,

You said you made a backup of plc data and machine data.

Anyway the first character should be a % which equates to hex 66. There should only be one of these characters in the file but you have lots.

It's still makes no sense
