TIA v17 WinCC Advanced Runtime not working

I got the errormessage : pdata.fwc configuration file could not be loaded. I already tried with another new develloped project, but no result. I also updated TIA v17 to update 4, but no result. You click the panel in TIA Portal and select "Online -> Simulation -> Start" or click the "Start simulation" button in the toolbar. Best regards

I wanted to do a 'repair install' by starting up again the update 4 installation and it said it required the version without updates to be able to install update 4. So, no repair install seems possible. Starting the runtime file directly gives the same errormessage. What to do next?

With your first screenshot RT V17 might be installed. So I guess that in the project you are having an HMI with another version. Check it with a right mouse click on the Runtime and select "change device/version" and change version to 17. Regards, Frink

I also created another new project from scratch (v17), gave the same error. A basic panel can be simulated without problem. I also have TIA v16 installed on the pc. The situation with v16 is the same as for v17 : comfort panel cannot be simulated, but basic panel can. I also have WinCC Unified installed on the pc (v17). I did not do any tests with that. I have another pc wit TIA v16 and TIA v17, (not Unified), there everything works.

I tried a repair install, but now update 4 is installed (updated from 2 to 4 with the intention to solve the problem, but no effect). If I use the original install software which is V17 with no updates, it refuses because now a later version is installed. If I try the update 4 again it refuses also to install it. Best regards, Wizard If you fill in the procedure for a support request, you get this info : If you get the message"... pdata.fwc configuration file could not be loaded ..."at the start of simulation after V17 setup, you have to do arepair installation of TIA Portal V17. You do not have to create this service request, we will fix this as soon as possible. So, my options will be a removal and reinstall of v17 or wait for the official bugfix.
