Hi Mehrdad,

I have looked to the configuration you send to me and I have found that you want to make a F-Systems with the IO you have chosen! So this Fail Safe IO is only going out of error if you program for at least one IO of every Fail Safe IO-block you have. This is because of the ProfiSafe Protocol that start his work when there is something programmed. I think you have no bus failures (LED BF) but only system failures (LED SF).

To program the Fail Safe part of the F-CPU {one H-CPU can also be used as a Fail Safe CPU and when you are using two H-CPU you can make a Fault Tolerant Fail Safe System....} you need F-Systems and also CFC as SCL as well...

So in the Hardware nothing is wrong now, but you need to programm something.

Please consider also the Dipswitches that are on the backside of the modules, they have to be set as shown in the properties of the Fail Safe I/O-blocks, under Parameters --> F-Parameters!!!!

Sorry that I give you the answer this late, but I am have to work some thimes...

I have checked all screens of the CPU and have some questions / remarksabout this parameters:

1. Which time OB do you use for the Fail Safe Programm, normally OB35 is chosen, this one is standing on 200mS --> all other have to stand at least two times (for sure) as high, because else they are coursing a error thats pointing in the direction whats in the diagnostic buffers;

2. With saving the config file the pasword is gone (thats normal), do you fill in a pasword?;

3. If you change something in the hardware thats Fail Safe relevant then you have to compile and load the hardware, but also the software. To be sure that the Fail Safe I/O cards don't getiing something of a earlier description, they must be powered off and on after loading the new hardware and software;

4. Are the Fail Safe DI and DO given only for a few seconds the Fail Safe LED (Green LED) or is there when starting a little time nothing and after that the SF-LED?;

5. Have you put the power on the front of the Fail Safe I/O?;

6. Are the dipswitches on the backside of the Fail Safe I/O cards switched in the right positions conform the settings in the hardware projecting "F_dest_address";

7. The F-Monitoring time is a little bit long, but bigger then 2 * OB35, so that must be ok, but please set them to 2500 or something like that;

If all points are ok, then I don't see something whats wrong, for me it looks like the dipswitches are set wrong on the backside of the F-modules.

If the dipswitches are set also good, please give me then the software packages by exporting from S7 Manager by "Help" --> "About" --> "Display" --> "Products" --> "Exports..." and save the csv file with a nice name.
