Flying saw, flying shear applicatin

I have to make a flying saw application and I have some questions regarding this app.

There will be two servo drives and one saw spindle drive, everything in one case S120, with CU-320-2PN as controller. There will be a profinet encoder (also drive cliq is possible, if it will ease the application). The saw shall follow the material at same speed (X axis), while the crosscutting saw moves from one end to the other (Y axis), the saw spindleis also operated assensorless vector control (C axis).

This application can be done by using Sinamics DCC chart, or can be done by using PLC as master-synchronisation device, CU320-2 in this case works as a dumb controller.

Q1: Shal I use Sinamics DCC, or shall I use atechnology CPU?

Q2: Has the new series S7-1500 the same functionality as theformer S7-315T (technology CPU)

I have partialy read: SINAMICS "Synchronism with DCC", and TECHNOLOGY CPU "Flying Shears Based on Gearing". They are complex applications, I am aware of DCC and CFC more than motion control blocks (they are new tech, I can also find application of some other PLC brand and clone it).

Any suggestions?

Thank you, but I havent found what I am looking for.

Last evening I was thinking about some thing:

1. create virtual leading axis TO, with position from material encoder

2.create following axis, which will follow the leading axis

3.create cross-cuting axis, which will move from one point to other

4.at approopiate time, homing ofleading axis is performedin manner that cutting pointhas 0.0 position

5.when material has passed, with following axis performMC_MoveAbsolute setpoint isposition of leading axis; move to position withspecified speed, acc, jerk

6.when setpoint is reached then: perform MC_GearIn (with same speed,acc,jerk as before), this will abort MC_MoveAbsolute. As the speed of following axis nearly 100% matches the leading axis, the MC_GearIn will be done quite momentary

7.when MC_GearIn has done, do MC_MoveAbsolute with cross-cutter. At this point MC_GearIn holds the following axis in complete synchronization, no specified speed,acc,jerk is valid, only the limit values in S120 are the constraints (S120 will work in DSC Dynamic Servo Control) therefore following axis will move as tight as possible

8.when cross-cutter has passed, perform with following axis MC_MoveAbsolute to homing position (this will auto abort MC_GearIn)

9. backto step 4

I do appreciate any oppinions about this. The goal is to make flying saw, which indeed it is a base of all sync movements (like student's book example of synchronisation). The odd procedure would be of course to use MC_GearInPos, but unfortunately it is not available for S7-1500, also Plcopen.org is not the place to see lots of examples.
