LED's EXTF, EXTF and BUSF are always on.

Hello,
I also have a CPU 416-2DP ( 416-2XK01-0AB0).
The CPU continue to be in RUN mode, but the LED's EXTF, EXTF and BUSF are always on.
In the diagnostic buffer, are 120 registered errors.

I have done cold and warm restart but nothing happen.

Please may any one advise me what to do?

you see P Areas Address errors, check Slave devices are available at network (not Off, PB cable segment functional). Read each line of buffer, there is clear what address I/O is not ok and you can easy check on which Slave it is not ok due that addresses.

After I checked the cables, PROFIBUS connectors, and re-downloaded the program, it worked for some days.

Now we have a worst situation, all the indicated LED's are turned on.

I removed the card and batteries, powered it on, tried to use MRES but again, the leds RUN and STOP are turned ON.

I can't connect anymore in CPU to read the Diagnostic buffer.

How Can I do any reset? I have try a lot, but nothing.

try set with key STOP and via MPI (PC Adapter) connect to CPU. You said, you put card out, MC card? Is that card ok? Hope you have actual prj on PG/PC and not different version as previously inside. You said that you've download prj again, also to MC? Maybe check system manual about LED indications but hope you don't have any HW error. You have on CPU MPI and DP port so you have more options, also via CP443 you can connect but with change of PG/PC interface Access point interface..

After many failing attempts, I decided to remove the CPU from the RACK for some minutes.

When I remounted it, the CRST LED, turned on.
I tried to connect to CPU via three ways, X1-MPI, X3-DP, LAN.
No one of them was able to complete the connection.

I could not download even the HW configuration.

Which could be the case?
Any defector CPU or RAM Memory Card ( 6ES7 952-1AL00-0AA0) ?

and your CPU is still with all lEDs ON, no one flashing? I'm afraid you've downloaded maybe something different cfg as is actual. Maybe try turn OFF CPU, set MC inside CPU and check manual of CPUs for LEd status as I recommended already. To me you can maybe reset CPU to default cfg with also reset of MC. This procedure can be inisde manual and hope it will help you. Hope you don't have defective CPU after some problem with electro after some DP diagnostics or other strange electro situation.

I see your description as one lucky thing, it can point to some other problem if all was working before. Worst can be that electric short problem in some cases which can damage something. Did you check CPU System manual for remedy procedures? You need be very careful with PB DP cables and connectors disassembly because there you need have good connection of cable shield cover connected to connectors plate inside. There can be possibility of inducted Voltage what can do damage after mistake connection to other live part or conductors places.

In conclusion, we changed the power supply and the CPU.

Re downloaded the program and now, all function as before.

I think that it was some problem with electronic components mounted on PCB's. Based on my opinion there are two main reasons:

1) PCB lifetime
2) Rat droppings (there were sign around the rack)
