Hi siemens team, We are using siemens MCB 5SY5202-7 on our product and its appears that vendor has wired up terminal number 2,4 on incoming DC side and terminal 1,3 on load side. In other panel they have wired up exactly opposite to above mentioned. Question :- Does polarity matters in DC MCB wiring? 2) Can we connect line and load connection on any side vendor wishes or there is guideline of wiring DC MCB in specific manner? 3) Can siemens provide supporting document for same. 4) Will there be any arc compensation in wiring the MCBs as shown in Document attached. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AttachmentMCB.docx (491 Downloads) |

Hello, In DC applications, the polarity of the 5SY5... MCB’c must always be observed. If the polarity is reversed, the MCB can become defective in the event of a switch-on/off or trip. The supply can be connected from above or below, with observing the correct polarity. With a DC voltage of 110V, the 2-pole 5SY4... (up to max. 144V DC) can also be used. Here, the polarity does not need to be observed. The power supply can be connected either from above or from below.
