I just wanted to share 1 problem that I faced 1 day ago.

On 18.05.2025 I was working with TIA V 18 at night and everything was working fine.

On 19.05.2025 in the morning I again started working on TIA V 18 and as soon as I opened my program it popped up with the dialog box " The Automation License Manager service has not been started".

I had the "V6.0 SP9 Upd3 for the ALM (Automation License Manager)". I went to "Service.msc" and in it the application ALM was not running. 

I manually started the application but still the issue was not solved. 

 In ALM when I used to restart again and again I could see my "LICENSE KEY" but after 5 mins it would disappear. 

 Then I went on SIEMENS website and searched for the software and I downloaded the update available without uninstalling the one I had and ran the version "V6.0 SP12 Upd3" but still the problem was not solved.

Then I downloaded the ALM with "V6.2 SP2 Upd3" from Siemens and then everything was working fine.

I have made a "pdf" that shows how I arrived at the solution. So that in future someone can also get help if needed.

 I found out the solution but still in my mind the concern is why did that happen to my PG M6 ? At night I have not downloaded any software or application.
 

Question: But can you guide me why this happened to my PG M6 ?

After installing the update KB5058411, Simatic manage is not starting.
