As far as I know, the CPU must be disconnected from the power supply before a module can be replaced.

Therefore, it is quite possible that the CPU is defective.

You may want to contact technical support to ask about repairs.

S7-1200 components are not hot-swappable.

You need to replace anything that is reporting hardware errors, like the PLC and _possibly_ the SB-1232.

You can search these forums for similar problems of accidental treatments of s7-1200's as hot-swappable to see if anyone _ever_ successfully recovered the PLC afterwards.

I do not recall any, but you are welcome to search these forums.

And of course, the prior reply suggesting to contact Siemens Support for guidance in attempting to recover the PLC - an excellent choice.

In the meantime, I strongly suggest sourcing a replacement PLC, and check on availability of a replacement SB-1232 (that's what you removed under power, correct??).

So you have _mostly_ working hardware.

Your PLC is now good for tasks that do not _require_ a SB.

You can always replace that SB with an SM/AQ module.

You learned a tough lesson. Lucky for you, most of the hardware / components / features survived.

Did more testing and I now know that the SB 1232 is alive (somehow) but the PLC's slot for the signal board is toast. However, the PLC it self is ok, thanks for the reply's.
