As I know, I can do it with my current software package, which includes: - STEP7 v5.5 + SP3 - WinCC flexible Advanced 2008 + SP3 Unfortunately I don't even know, how to make a working HWConfig. I can't find my product neither in Step7, neither in WinCC. Can somebody explain to me, how do I have to start creating a project? Is there any tutorial or step-by-step project? Or is there any example project?

You create a new STEP 7 project and add a pc-station in the Harware-Configuration you just have to add the WinAC RTX Version which you are using on your IPC. DannyRitiu Regular Member Joined: 12/10/2010 Last visit: 12/9/2023 Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	OK, so I want to help any newbie out there who just want to migrate from S7-300 to IPC, so I will explain to you what you should do... First! Very important! Made me a couple of hours trouble. The Siemens IPC has two Ethernet plugs BUT they are not a switch. They belong to two different Ethernet adapters so it is very important what do you plug in each plug. If you will be using Profinet (and suppose that this is your wish), you have to use plug number two. Now what I did, I created one network and used it as Profinet as well as to connect my PG laptop to it. So this is what you have to do: -Set your PG LAN adapter to a fixed IP (eg. 192.168.1.1) - Connect your laptop to the 2nd switch on the IPC and in Step7 go to PLC->Edit Ethernet Node... (this function will be used to assign IP addresses to devices identified by their MAC address) - Click Browse and the only thing you will find is the IPC's LAN Adapter. Select it and assign an IP address in the sabe subnet (eg. 192.168.1.10) - Now you have to do the HW config (on the PG/PC) and simultaneously the Station Config (on the IPC). - In Step7 you must add a Simatic PC Station. Then go to HW Config and in the rack insert WinLC RTX (or whatever WinLC system you are using) to slot 2. - Under WinLC RTX you will see 4 IFs. Insert IE-General to IF1 (make sure you drag the IE-General from the HW list under the WinLC version you have inserted to slot 2. And also make sure you specify the IP address which you set to the IPC (in our case 192.168.1.10). And click New to create a new Profinet network. - Then add from SIMATIC PC Station->HMI->WinCC flexible RT to slot number 3. - You have to make the same thing on the station configurator. Under slot 2 you have to add WinCC, then click Properties and add to IF1 the only interface available. - Then add WinCC flexible RT to slot number 3. Important is that the slot numbers in HW config and in the Station Configurator have to be the same. - Save and compile your HW config and download it to the IPC. Now, if you want to add field devices (eg. an ET200M): - First connect the IPC (Ethernet plug 2.) to the ET200M. You will have to unplug your PG/PC for this. - Then connect the PC to the second plug of the ET200M. You will be on the same network since the ET200M works as an Ethernet switch. - Now go to Step7 and select PLC->Edit Ethernet node... and assign an IP address to the ET200M just as you did with IPC. Remember! All IP addresses have to be different but they have to be in the same subnet (masked by 255.255.255.0). For this station I assigned IP address 192.168.1.11 Note! It is useful to assign a name to your devices, specially if you have many or more from the same type. - Now make the HW config and be sure that it matches the physical device (you have to add ET200M to the Profinet network and then add your I/O modules). Also be sure that you specify the same IP address which you assigned to the device (in our case 192.168.1.11) Tip! Rename your device and use the same name what you assigned to it. This is not only helping you identify your device, but some devices work ONLY if you have the same name in the HW config and in their individual configuration. - Download your HW config and everything should be working as fine. Note! If you will later remove something from the IPC's Station Configurator, you may have to restart it to work as wanted. After that you will have to make your project and download your blocks just as you did that for S7-300. With WinCC flexible RT I only could make it work in one way: - Compile the project. - Select transfer settings and select File (this will create a file on your PG/PC's HDD. - By selecting overwrite password list the Transfer procedure will create an additional file. - Copy the folder to an USB stick and paste it on the HDD of the IPC. - If you want to run automatically the HMI project when the IPC starts, you will have to create a shortcut to it in the Startup folder from the Start Menu. One more thing: Make sure you start WinLC RTX on the IPC and make sure you set the mode to Run, otherwise your PLC will not do anything. If you want to start automatically the PLC when the IPC starts, you will find that option in the Settings of WinLC RTX somewhere. I know this might be not a complete tutorial, but it might save you guys from additional trouble like what I had to go through. Good luck!

thomas14may Bronze Member Joined: 10/14/2015 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	HI I have tried on my IPC 277d Win7 ultimate Intel 82574L card and its works perfectly IF you want to transfer WinCC Flex project to IPC277d : ON IPC 277d 1 - shut down controler WinAC rtx 2 - remove WinAC RTX and intel card from PC station ( you cannot see IP address of that card in Windows cos RTX is in RunTime mode) 3 - Reboot IPC to allow set up a new IP for Intel card - you can do that manually after reboot in card properties then you got a new IP address ( you can make the same as in PC station before but the other address allow you differ that your IPC works as Controler or Standallone PC) Now your Windows on PG can see the Intel IP card and then you can transfer WinCC flex project to IPC Tomasz
