Hi SS, If you need a battery then it is an older PLC that can hold all the data on the RAM with the battery. The only way to get back to your initial values in your DB is when you get a cold start by turning the keyswitch to the left and after that start the CPU new. If you have a EPROM in it then it could be also that a big disturbance have reset the memory and then make a cold restart when you start the CPU new. The EPROM is then copied to the RAM. Please consider that you have different parts to store something: 1. Loadmemory with the initial value; 2. Loadmemory with the "actual" value; 3. Workmemory with the actual value; How can I backup my program from the load memory? [:P] and some detailed description about RAM/ROM for the S7-300: What is the effect of the STEP 7 function "Copy RAM to ROM"?[;)] After this explanation you have some idea what is happening wenn you do a reset of the CPU. |
