Data type conflict: How to resolve

The script can be complied with no errors. FUNCTION S1_50_Reject_Tracking : VOID CONST lim := 10; END_CONST VAR_INPUT iEvalDataPulse: BOOL; iRFIDDataDB : "UDT_OMSRFMap"; iPartType: INT; iSysHour: BYTE; iSysMin: BYTE; END_VAR VAR_OUTPUT qAlarm : ARRAY[1..8] OF BOOL; END_VAR VAR_IN_OUT ioTrackingDB : "UDT_Reject"; //UDT 1491 END_VAR When I attempt to call this FC and Assign the I/O in Step 7, I get the following error: "Actual data type UDT 1491 does not fit the formal type STRUCT of the formal parameter ioTrackingDB" The DB that I assign to ioTrackingDB is a DB derived from UDT 1491 which is called "UDT_Reject." so the structure of both should be the same. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? This is my first time really using SCL.

Gustavo Antonio B... Member Joined: 6/20/2017 Last visit: 9/8/2025 Posts: 486 Rating: (41)	It would be better to be able to see the whole program, not just the header of a function that is not even an error site. The problem could be the uncompiled DB or the incorrect I/O link to the function.
