I'm having an issue I fail to resolve.

I want to migrate a S7-300 CPU to a S7-1500 (315 → 1516).

Firts, I compiled the entire original project witout any issues. I have a log saying every blocs were compiled properly.

However, when I try to migrate to the 1516, the migration fails and the log indicates somes blocs are not compiled (all of the mentionned blocs were properly compiled 2 mins earlier).

I tried compiling every mentionned bloc in the log 1 by 1. When I do so, the compilation doesn't proceed beacause according to TIA, the blocs are up to date and it can't see any changes. To avoid this message, I opened every blocs, changed something (usually a comment) then compiled it again. The compilation of the blocs now works 1 by 1.

But if I retry the migration, the same error comes back, telling me the blocs are not compiled.

The programm is in TIA V16. I tried with 3 differents versions, no update, update 3 and update 8 (the latest), I have the same behavior each time.

Curious, how much of the s7-300 project is written in STL?  How much indirect addressing is used?

Have you read over the s7-300->1500 migration guide to see what you have to redo for s7-1500 after migration (and required to remove before migration)?

NO block is written in STL, It's either Ladder or SCL.

There is a lot of indirect adressing tho.

I might have found something.

The program contains a lot of comparaison of date_and_time variables.

Which means, each time I compile it, it re-generates an EQ_DT system block which has a Know_how protection.

According to the migration guidelines, no Know_how protected block should remain in the programm before migrating.

This seems consitent since every block the migration log tells me isn't compiled, does contain at least a comparaison (or is used to do one) using this sytem block.

I will try to create a small program with a 315 using a single date_and_time comparaison to see if I can migrate.
