Hi, I was reading the Programming Styleguide for Simatic S7-1200 / S7-1500 and noticed the following: "DA003 Rule: Set/evaluate block properties. The following settings must be activated in the block properties: • Auto-numbering: Blocks (OB, FC, FB, DB, TO) shall only be delivered with auto-numbering turned on. Be aware that the execution of an Organization blocks depends on its number/priority." I cannot understand why this is better for standardization than grouping the blocks by different ranges, e.g., communication blocks starting at DB200, motor and valves FB 500, and so on. If anyone could explain this to me, please. Regards! Attachment81318674_Programming_Styleguide_DOC_v20_en.pdf (526 Downloads) |

Grouping of blocks is best done by adding GROUPS to the project, then drag-n-dropping associated blocks into their proper groups, like Valves, Motors, Product Input (which could valves and motors grouped inside it).

New question published by Ecoleaf is split to a separate thread with the subject Change block numbers; keep imported library elements in same range. Best regards |
