I hope that I will be able to do a retrofit/upgrade to Linux CNC, it would be the most advantageous option, there will be no need for eternal reloads, and the storage capacities of the memory and job opportunities will be at the current level. The working machine is used for training students, for learning the ABC of CNC programming, in the past we simulated CNC programs by writing on paper (the milling head works as a writing tool). If I manage to upgrade, I will keep the original control panel because all the functions are active and can be shown and compared with today's technology and electronics.

Hello, I have a similar problem. I am trying to restore a sinumerik 810m with pcin. I have now realized that i might not need step5 program since I have a pcp file. Is that correct? In which order should I upload these files? files attached:

TOA

SPF

PCA

PCP

MPF

DIR

 I also have a s5d and ini file, but I suppose those are only for step 5 program.
