I have a project that i want to change from Single-User project to a Multi-User project where i want to work with a Server and Client PC.

I changed the project by changing the following property "Project Properties > General > Type" to "Multi-User Project".

I would expect that i can add a Computer, but the option "New Computer..." is grayed out. Am i missing something?

1. Is the name of the server computer in the WinCC project also the name of the computer on which the WinCC project is currently open?

-> open the server computer with a double-click in the WinCC Explorer. If the "Accept local computer name" button is grayed out in the General tab, both names are identical.

2. Is the project really a multi-user project?

-> Right-click the project name and select properties in the WinCC Explorer. The project type must be set to multi-user project in the General tab. Please check that the change was applied correctly.

3. If 1st and 2nd do not help, the .mcp file must be recreated. Please see:

The computer can then be created again.
