How to connect redundant controllogix with wincc v8.0

If any one have done this before please share your results as i will be thnakfull for this.

itafusna Silver Expert Joined: 2/17/2020 Last visit: 8/29/2025 Posts: 1251 Rating: (237)	Hi, I believe that the "Allen Bradley - Ethernet IP" communication channel in WinCC V8 does not support redundant Allen Bradley PLCs. The Allen Bradley controllers supported by the channel, as well as the configurable parameters are listed here: WinCC V8 communication > Allen Bradley - Ethernet IP If you have this requirement, there may be solutions based on OPC instead.

Here you have also a system IP Address which leads always to the Master PLC, then you would have to do not that much in WinCC. The build in Software Redundancy (communication change with scripts) in WInCC you cannot use because you can only use with S7 PLCs other communication channels are not supported for this redundancy switch Bye Murof
