Hi everyone,

I've been working on a project that consists basically in integrate a conventional chatbot in IOT2040, to make some actions and get some information. This is very common and usefull in a home automation system, buy why don't we use this features in a industrial environment?

So here it is !

Im sharing with you an integration between IOT2040, fully programmed with Node-Red, and Telegram.

The basic functions are described bellow:

• Interaction with the user;
• User control/ Access level;
• UI to handle the users;
• Easy to implement more functions to fit in your application.

How to do it?

First of all, you have to download the Telegram app on your smartphone. After that you must to create your own bot and for that, you have to start a conversation with @botfather and follow the steps described in the link bellow (step 6 more precisely):

Once created, you can start with the Node-Red programming. I attached the entire flow that I used in this application, sou you can import to your project. You just have to configure your bot ( name and token ) and start the application.

There are some commands and functions,as well as:

• /start - Start the conversation, justo to receive the instructions;
• /register - Request access;
• Help - Receive the avaiable functions;
• Me: User information;
• Userlist: Return the list of users;
• Loglevel: set which log entries are forwarded to telegram;
• Turn, Switch: Turn leds on and off;
• Voltage: Return the voltage of the system;
• Current: Return the current of the system;
• Production: Return the currrent production of the plant;

All the information are transfered via MQTT, like voltage, current and production.
