Hi there, 

Im trying to connect my Logo! V8.3 BM to the cloud following this video and this tutorial. 
In the 'cloud connection settings' the Thing is successfully registered. But when I test the connection. I get an error saying 'DNS server in not accessible. Check the LOGO! BM gateway to ensure that the logo! BM is connected to the internet'. 

I can download the programs to the LOGO! through Ethernet so they should be least on the same subnet. Do I need to configure the router in any way to make the LOGO! connect to the cloud?

Hi,  my configuration is:

LOGO! 8.3 IP-Adress outside of the DHCP-range of the Router.

As gateway I use the IP-Adress of the DSL Router. This is all I had to do and the cloud connection works at the first time.

Sorry, I'm still lacking in knowledge about networking and AWS so if this is a silly problem i apologize.

I've found that you can change your IoT region in the top right of the AWS console so now i can see my LOGO! successfully registered as a AWS IoT thing.

I've set the LOGO! current IP address to:
IP adress: 192.168.0.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.178.1 (my router IP found through the "ipconfig" command in the cmd prompt).

However I don't see a shadow in the AWS IoT and when i test the connection in the 'cloud connection Settings' i get this error: 

"test failed because of unknown error"

When i go to Diagnosics > cloud > test connection on the Logo BM itself I get different errors depending on if the program is running. When the program is running i get the error " Test connection Error 81: Unable to connect to DNS server". and when the program is not running I get the error "Test connection Error e0: Unable to establish TCP connecting to Cloud server"

I've followed the steps in the manual and in the cloud connection tutorial, but I can't figure it out. 

If somebody would have a tip that would be a great help! 

Hi.

remove the DNS-Server specification. It is nt needed for AWS.

2. AWS always install new server. The Server location you want to use was not existing at that time. But can use any Server you can select in LSC

3. specify the data you want to transfere to AWS in the data table and set date and time in LOGO!.
I believe with central eu1 and Germany/Netherland it should work because there is time different between Berlin and Amasterdam.

The check again.

I just had contact with Siemens support and they were able to spot my problem. 

my router default gateway was 192.168.178.1 ( found through the "ipconfig" command in the cmd prompt). I left my LOGO! ip at 192.168.0.3. But i should have changed it to 192.168.178.1. My LOGO! IP setting now look like this: 

IP adress: 192.168.178.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.178.1

This solved it for me.

Hi Guys,

Have you managed to solve the problem? I have set the default gateway as on the router and updated the date and time, but I am still getting the warning. 

Also, before I press the test connection button, it stops PLC. Is that how it is supposed to be? Thank you in advance.

    While connecting plc to the AWS Cloud, we are getting error...Like " dns server is not accessible. check the logo! BM gateway to ensure that the logo! bm is connected to the internet".  How to rectify it?
