Dears Experts. I want to make Profibus DP communication between S7 200 and ABB 800M, all data is boolean, and I want to send all of them in one direction from the slave (S7-200) to the master 800M. The issue is, the data simple table starting from byte V0.0 and ending with byte V46.1, how to make all of these signals in the send mailbox of the slave. Thanks in advance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello, generally, S7-200 DP Slave module is attached to CPU and DP Slave address is set on switches on module, then Master PLC (ABB) need import to its HW S7-200 DP Slave module GSD file, configure I/O buffer (as you negotiate together and due S7-200 possibilities). Your DP module need have same PB DP cfg profile and different DP Slave address what Master need set to it's HW cfg, simply to have correct 'connection' with Slave. You need set for your PB Slave module I/O buffer offset (start address) what is V memory with next length as Master will have defined, all depends to data type/structure. Be carefull here with V memory for PB DP I/O buffer set taht you don't overwrite existed V mermory areas as you have already defined. Here it is expected your PB DP buffer as one complete block of memory started from defined offset and long as is set on Master. You can then easy due your existed memory used move or read/write simply to V memory buffer as PB DP area. Input is what you receive from Master and Output is what you want as Master can read from your side. Update: now I found this good FAQ what can put more light to your situation: How you can cfg S7-200 as DP Slave with other Master PLC Master is here S7-300 CPU but on ABB is very similar situation, I expect. As Master ABB need to be configured is outside of this Forum. |
