Hello; To be abe to give you a valid answer, we need more detailed information on your part. What model of S7-400 CPU do you have in this project? Th e part number should tell us what netorks are available for remote I/O. It would also be great if you mentionned the version of Step 7 you are planning to use to configure and program exchanges with the remote I/O station. When you say "sp remote I/O", do you mean a ET 200 SP system, using a IM 155-6 head module? The ET 200SP System naual would be a good place to start your research, if that is the case. You could select either a IM 155-6 PN (Profinet) or DP (Profibus) depending on the available connections to the S7-400 PLC. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/58649293 Please remember that if you want information from the forum we need information to help you out. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello; Please clarify what you mean by "We will but ET200 SP with its own head", you have the choice of an IM 155-6PN as head module for a ET 200SP distributed IO configuration, or a ET 200SP CPU with Profinet interface. See the prossible product range for ET 200SP systems in this introduction link: https://new.siemens.com/global/en/products/automation/systems/industrial/io-systems/et-200sp.html If you plan to use a ET 200SP station as part of a S7-400 Profinet configuration (with a CP 443-1 for example), you will require Step 7 v5.6 SP2, as you can see in the following document: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/be/en/view/57138621 Hope this helps, |
