how to send signal by LOGO to another place?

jonjon13 Posts: 77 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir, I have simple security alarm using LOGO system and I installed it to my grandmother house. I want to have a feedback or to monitor if this alarm triggered to my grandmother house so I want to send signal to my house that is around 10km far from my grandmother house. Can I use modem, telephone lines or what devices can I interface to LOGO module? Please advise me and How I can set-up/configure it? Many thanks and have a nice day to all. LOGO!Barbarian Posts: 173 Rating: (95)	Hi jonjon13 Nowdays there are many GSM modems on the market that have got some digital I/O's onboard and also some way to write a small program (in Java or OPEN AT or Python languages) to store SMS text and destination numbers. Then you connect the LOGO! I/O's to the GSM modem I/O's and when the LOGO! makes an output 'hi' which is connected to the modem input, then the modem program will send the SMS you want to the number you want. Look for a Wavecom Wismo / Fastrac or a Cinterion (previously Siemens) TC65T or a Telit Then there are lots of other makes that have the same electronics inside as these big manufacturers. Hope you have some success - I think this way will be cheaper, but it will only take some special programming of the GSM modem Cinterion TC65T (Java) Wavecom Wisma (OPEN AT) Telit (Python) I have not done it myself, but I think it must be possible!
