Hello,

this is strange if this message appears. It points to probably your Port is used or configured for other service pending. I recommend to set PLC to STOP and try again. If this doesn't help, problem can be with wrong cfg of connection settings - speed, PG/PC address (here is expected 0 as standard) and other things. Look for dip switches on adapter in case you have them, correct cfg is required. More bad problem can be that in case of higher CPUs versions, only MultiMaster cable can be used, no pure PPI cable. This can be definitelly the next problem you have.

Thank you for quick response. Address is 0, the standard as you suggested. Do I need to provide AC power and Neutral lines to the PLC ? That was only missing I felt. 

If that's not the case, I need to but MMI cable as you suggested.

- Try to use another PC/PPI cable since your setting in Microwin for PC/PPI 1 is seems correct

- May be you need to check local station ID in set pg pc setting --> in the properties of PC/PPI 1, check PPI parameter and Local connection parameter. In local connection you need to select correct COMP port or USB as per your PPI cable shows in device manager

- Live Neutral depends on your type of PLC i.e. PLC may be AC power or DC power. If it is AC power then you need to connect L / N and if your PLC is DC powered then need to connect +/- 24VDC, please check your PLC type properly. 

In short PLC must power on with its respective Power.

- As suggested in post you need to upload PLC in stop mode using switch on PLC. There is upload button or upload arrow button is available in software you need to use it to upload.

- I don't think any other parameter is there you need to check
