Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue with a TP700 Comfort HMI in TIA Portal.

I can detect the HMI on the network (it appears with the correct IP address), but I cannot download my HMI project to the panel. During download, I get the error “Failed to establish a connection to the device”, even though the device is visible (see attached screenshot).

I am using Ethernet (PN/IE), the IP configuration looks correct, but the download always fails.

My question is:
Did I miss an important step ?

If anyone has experience with this issue on TP700 Comfort panels, I would really appreciate your help.

Did you set the device name to the panel also? That is more important than the IP address.

The panel is a brand new TP700 Comfort, never used before. I assigned the same device name as in my TIA Portal project, both via TIA and directly on the HMI.

However, the download still fails.

Since the panel is new, I am wondering if I missed an important step.

Do you see any additional point specific to a brand new TP700 Comfort that I should check?
