I recently migrated from STEP 7 V5.5 running on a Windows 7 Pro virtual machine to STEP 7 V5.7 on Windows 11 Pro 25H2, without using a VM. The software itself works fine, but I’m encountering some strange bugs during offline/online comparisons.

When I connect to the PLC and perform the check, the software correclty prompts for the password. However, when I try to type it, no input is registered. It feels like when multiple pop-up windows are open and you can’t interact with the lower one until you close the others—but in this case, there’s no higher-priority popup visible.

I’ve tried reinstalling the software, but the issue persists.

My temporary workaround is to open OB1, go online, and when the password prompt appears there, it works correctly.
Even after that, I still experience “page priority issues” when reviewing the comparison results. Sometimes i manage to open the comparison but i need to click multiple times and i'm still unable to find a consistent pattern.

Has anyone else run into this problem?
