measurements despite lens distortion?

Chris-C Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, again I have a question about VS720 series. I installed a VS723 at the customer sight. I have to inspect a FOV of around 600mm in X. As my working distance can not be so long (about 500 - 1000mm) I had to use a 4.8mm lens. Now I have big distortions and my measurements ar not accurate enough. Can I do some calibration or can I add a function which recalculates the values? Thanks, Chris

LAR024 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi man,thanks for your HowTo.pdf file. It is SO useful! :) I solve similar problem as Chris-C. I use VS723-2 camera and I scan desired area (1200x900mm) from 4m distance. So I use 16mm lens and I have to transform spectation coordinates to Word Real coordinates. So your help file was very helpful for me. But I have small problem. I have to define coordinate origin, because I use Robot system controlled by coordinates result of camera. So for find zero home position I used "ObjFind-Rectanle" softsensor. But I can't import coordinates from this softsensor to "Coordinate system" softsensor. If i click on "Update coordinate"button for this source, coordinates are still zero, even if the ObjFind sensor find this poits and define its coordinates. Do you have any opinion, where can be problem. Have you ever use the "ObjFind" softsenzor for Coordinate transformation?? Thank for any help.
