Access to Unified basic HMI with Android phone

Andreas__ Joined: 2/16/2025 Last visit: 5/19/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	We have previously been using the old Basic HMI:s and the Siemens Smart server. Now we have switched to the new Unified basic HMI which is not using smart server but have a built in web server. From a computer the access to the HMI works great. However from android phones the experience is not so good. Alot of scrolling is needed. We would like so have a full screen view of the HMI in portrait view but have not been able to achieve that. Have tried with Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Displaying it with the setting “computer adapted view” works best but still scrolling is needed to see the full screen. Would be great to know some recommendations on what web browser and setting that is best to use to get the best experience.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 12/19/2025 Posts: 16612 Rating: (1943)	Hello Andreas__ the problem is, that your Smartphone has probalby a totally different resolution and ratio than your HMI. you could check in a Start Screen with a script (UI.GetClientInfo) which resolution does the Client have. Then you can decide what to do. For example to call a different startscreen with a different picture screen layout to fit the smartphone resolution better, or the regular startscreen for the local Panel RT. Bye Murof
