611 Power supply module fault 2 leds lit, help needed!!

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 9/12/2025 Posts: 4449 Rating: (400)	hi, who can help me we have a turning machine with 840C and 611D ,which has been running good for about 4 years. but from last month it happend 2 to 5 times everyday power supply module falling with 2 LED's lit: "Line supply fault" and "DC link overvoltage". and at same time "Unit ready(yellow)" still lit. it happens when machine finishing cutting a part( Sp brake 500rpm to 0and G0 X...Z... for returing) . Drive config: 36/47KW infeed 6SN1145-1BA02-0CA01+160A po section for 611D spindle; 2*50A double po section for X/Z aexes 611D.chock is matched by M/C builder. line supply 400V 3 AC conected through saftey contactor. I checked S1 switch they are all OFF. and I changed a brand new power supply module with same Order No. Machine had run good for 4 hours then the same problem happend for power supply module. please give some tips what may cause this problem. thanks in advance. ================= EXPERTS , please help. I want to try to set S1.1 from OFF to ON, even the line voltage is 400V 3AC, I thought it makes monitoring threshold Vdc >=710V, then "DC link overvoltage" will not be so sensitive.... ANY problems with that setting. will it harm my I/R module?

SteveJ Posts: 328 Rating: (29)	Dear Sir The setting of this switch should be ok, But, I think the problem is with one of your LT modules, I suspect that the DC Lnk is not controlled correctly on deceleration. If you test the spindle, See if the fault re-occurs, ie: TOP: S5000 M3 G04 F5 M5 G04 F5 GOTOB TOP M30 Regards SteveJ
