use plc and hmi

saeedplc Posts: 288 Rating: (4)	hello. i am going to use a normal pc with wincc flexible as an hmi and use software plc on it and connect et200 with profibus cable to the pc port. (i dont have s7-300 cpu.) what softwares and hardwares do i need? what manuals should i study to be able to do this project? best regards.

Hi, Why not use PLCsim?For an HMI and SW test PLCSim is the cheapest option. Ok. If you want to connect ET200m, I think you could get an s7-300 cpu. Cheaper option. Maybe other option to think about is Virtal controller. But it is expensive, heavy stuff. Maybe can not even provide DP master interface. You can choose as deviceIM 151 (ET 200 CPU ) PN and if CPU as master as add DP module OR as CPU ET200S DP andyou can buy MPI/USB adaptor for connect to PLC and HMI you can use STEP 7 and WinCC Flexible
