I recommend as follows:

Restart the system and open the Windows command console via "Start > Run...".

Enter the command "cmd" and then confirm with <ENTER>.

Check whether the Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) is enabled. You do this by entering the following command and confirming with <ENTER>: ewfmgr c:

If the EWF for the system partition C: is active (ENABLED), enter the following command and confirm with <ENTER>:

ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable

The EWF is now inactive (DISABLED). If the EWF is inactive, all the changes on the hard disk/CF card and cannot be reset by restarting the SIMATIC PC.

Close the Windows command console. You do this by entering the "exit" command and confirming with <ENTER>:

Restart the system.
