Using TIA v20 update 3 with MTP1500.

I have multiple popups for different process objects like valve, pump etc. 

I wanted to make the popup location dynamic based on from where I pressed the block icon/button.(don't want to open all the faceplate at same location). I need my faceplate location related to my block icon/button location. 

Using JS; by passing the object name, I could read the block icon/ button's left and top coordinates. Accordingly, I could dynamize the popup location. 

(e.g. let posX = Screen.Items("PIT_102").Left;)
 

But in this case, I need to mention which object's left and top position coordinates to be read for all the block icon/button pressed. 

Is there any way to identify the object while pressing button or any other way of achieving this requirement?

One more query I have related to faceplate.

When am clicking a button, am using system function like "UI.OpenFaceplateInPoup" to open its corresponding faceplate. There is diff faceplate in my project with different size. So, if I try to position the faceplate location based only on clicked button location, there is a chance that it can go outside screen. 

So, I am checking the possibility of getting popup faceplate height and width within this script itself so that I decide the where to keep the faceplate window.  

When I see the faceplate open help file, the default size HxW is 100x100. If I tried to read the same, I am getting 100 which is not the actual size of my FP.

How can I solve the issue ?

Hi. I've had a similar issue. For some reason the popup object doesn't have the correct width and height immediately after it's created but after some time it does so you're gonna have to add a time delay.

Create this function. This returns a callback function to check the condition --in your case it's the width and height being more than 100, every 10 ms, and timeout after 250 ms if the condition is still false to avoid infinite repetition.
