Hi All,

I’ve got a project which I need to test on my PC. The project is made in TIA V13.

I have started the PLCSIM(ISO) and upload the project and the project is running (working fine)

Next I have started my HMI Simulation and it seems to also work fine. (For example I can switch between screen)…

Unfortunately I don’t have a connection between my virtual PLC and HMI.

What can I try to solve this problem?

Hello,

check "set PG/PC Settings" in Windows Control panel, here for S7-Online the PLCSIM Interface must be selected.

Depand which PLC you simulate:

PLCSIM = S7-300
PLCSIM S7-1200 / S7-1500 = S7-1x00 PLC

thanks for your quick answer.... I have ET200S...

The PG/PC Setting was already PLCSIM but.... It should be  PLCSIM(TCP/IP) instead of PLCSIM(ISO) :)

I am experiencing the same problem, my programs are being simulated and works really well and I have done a HMI programing as well linking all the component to the PLC tags but the PLC gets simulated but my HMI remains in the creative mode and doesn't switch to the Simulation screen as expected. I have changed my PG/PC settings from  PLCSIM(TCP/IP)  to PLCSIM Local but no changes noticed for now. what should I do next?

It is an S7- 1200 and a KTP700 Basic PN, I have even tried changing the HMI but the outcome is the same.

Hello,

Have you updated TIA Portal WinCC V17 to version 17.0.0.9? If so, try changing the runtime version from 17.0.0.0 to 14.0.1.0 by right-clicking on the HMI project -> Change device/version and try to compile project and running the simulation again.
