My guess is the time of day in the PLC and HMI are not the same.

Or, you have security configured (default setting) and need to transfer security certificate (you can read on how to do that in TIA Portal's F1-Help) to the HMI/PLC so they can communicate securely.

I just got a new S7-1200 G2 1214C PLC that I combined with a KTP400 BASIC HMI.

I got it linked up in tiaportal V20 and got a button programmed on th HMI that is connected to an %M port on the PLC which should toggle the %M port.

Yet each time I press the button I get an error that it can't change the value on the PLC.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?
