Hello ganga; You gave us a Sequence of operations , which gives you a good starting point to design your PLC control panel, your instrumentation, and your PLC program. At what stage are you in for this project, bidding, planning, evaluating, engineering? Are electrical and mechanical plans already available for the ETS? Has process engineering already been done? Has the control equipment already been selected, for heat exchangers, pumps, valves... Are you responsible for the design and selection of the MCC cabinets? Is there an expected HMI or SCADA locally in the ETS, or is all information transfered only to the main central control room? Have you already selected the family of PLCs you will be working with, it probably will be a Siemens S7 in this case, but which family remains unmentioned in the SOP. Have you started designing the PLC cabinet, including selection of the VFDs for the pumps,networks (or analog modules) for the instruments and control valves, network modules (or digital/analog signals) for the pump control (VFDs), power supplies and distribution, relays... The last page of the SOP is a list of basic project signals to be exchanged between the PLC and the process equipment, but it needs to be refined, at the very list each individual pump heat exchanger instrument and valve in the ETS must be identified and signals reserved for each one must be planned to prepare the PLC program. A lot of the program will be relatively simple, communications with instruments (pressure, temperature...), the VFDs, the MCC, the BTU meter and the BMS, The most difficult aspect will be the PID control of the individual pumps, based on pressure readings, and especially the pump staging design. There are quite a few examples of these functions on the forum site, available for your use. We can discuss this as we approach these difficulties. These belong to my client, as your program will be the property of your own client when you are ready to hand it over.
