Hello, I am doing a migration from a (working) KTP1200 basic to a new MTP1200 basic(Unified panel), but I am having some issues with user administration.
In this system I have multiple panels with the same user configuration and only one is being changed.

I have 2 issues:
1. Users on old system have a 4 digit password, and in TIA portal's security settings I could only set 8 as minimun, I don't know how should I create the user to do this.
2. On the old panel, no username was needed to log in, you just used the password, I can't find a way to do this on the unified panel

Related question: I found “Number of recently used passwords blocked for reuse” option. Is this how many retries are available before blocking the user? If so, how do I make it bigger than 10? (Disable it if possible)

to my knowledge:

1. 8 characters is the minimum now. You can not get lower.

2. Not possible. Workarounds with writing tag with passwort and hardcoding the login mechanism are not recommended (Systemfunction SetLocalUser was introduced in V19?!)

To the related question: This is possible in newer Versions. I don't remember, when it was introduced. Here are my Runtime Settings in V20

Thanks for your reply, so bad Siemens is restraining users in such way, I can maybe understand point 2, but why on earth would siemens not allow users to set the password length as whatever length they want. 
Since I need this 4 digit password login to make the new HMI compatible with all the rest of the project. Could I create a script to login the user or maybe do it from the PLC? Like, making a custom screen where user inputs password and that logins the user with the corresponding credentials
