Hello--

I'm having the same issue that was posted, except for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.  I don't see the same path to follow to delete the folder and run that executable.  Could someone tell me where this would be on this version?

all of my interfaces have stopped working, but I have no add/remove button to reinstall them.

I have searched for a solution but somehow it eludes me??

what do you mean with "stopping working"?

If you read the posts inthis topic you can see thst the add/remove have no longer any functionality on a Windows 7 x64 system.

Where the heck does /program data live? I can not locate it.....

This was all fine, on a Simatic Field PG system but suddenly stopped, but I do not recall any event or system problem to explain it,

Can I simply reinstall the set PG-PC application??

do the Interface work in Wondows can you ping a PLC?
Ther programdata folder is located in the root of the Systemdrive, you must enable the Windows Explorer Options "Show hidden files and folders"

A reinstall of thew set PG/PC is not possible but with the tips from the thread here you can reinstall the interfaces.

Ok, I have confirmed my laptop will talk to plc ok now with DP driver.

However, ethernet is not working at all. The etehrnet ports are ok, and work with routers etc. I can ping the PLC so I know my ssttings are ok, but when I try to communicate with S7 i get error message "Online: can not load the selected communications driver"

I should mention although I might sound cluless, I have been able to connect to many different PLC/HMI devices using most methods for many years. I have always been satisfied that I understand how to configure the different drivers and interfaces in Siemens with absolutely no problem.

I have followed the help steps, and I have used the method described previously to remove the drivers and reinstall being careful to do so with admin rights.

It seems I need to reinstall the communications drivers (from the help for error 33:17088 mentioned above.

So I reinstalled S7 but no difference. (although maybe that is what fixed the DP driver)

can someone please advise a good process? Should I uninstall all software and reinstall (TIA Portal, S7 etc?)

this kind of situation happened also to me, but I must roll back via Windows Recovery Point to solve this. probably maybe is another solution to this, look at Windows servicies and find Siemens service like s7dosHelp ???? like this, check if it's enabled, runing. If not try enable it that it can be runing. Give pls info.

you can try this:
delete the Folder /ProgramData/siemens/automation/Simatic OAM/data (ProgramData is a hidden folder, you must enable the show hidden Folders option in Windows Explorer)

Open a cmd Shell with adminstrator rights (cmd -> Run as Administrator)

type s7epaIMP64x.exe in the Admin shell.
