Dear all,

I am having issues configuring a Heidenhain EQN 1336S encoder with a CU320.2 with V5.1.1.12 Firmware. According to the Siemens list of supported encoders it should work. I have tried setting P400 to 204, 214, 224, 244, and 10058. With each attempt, I still receive fault code 1420 Component Difference. Under the Topology tab in Starter 5.4, I am able to see the encoder but it has a question mark beside it. I am assuming I have a parameter configuration error. 

Does anyone know the proper settings for this encoder or as anyone worked with these encoders before?

Please set p0400 = 244, switch OFF & ON main power & check.

If the same fault code pops up, check r2124 value & report here. (better attach the snap shot of r2124 value)

I have set P400 to 244, power OFF and ON. I still receive Fault 1420. R2124=17040409.

In attached topology, MM is connected to CU, no infeed module is in topology. You can not configure MM directly to CU. 

Please refer SINAMICS S120 Commissioning Manual with STARTER manual which will help you to configure & commission drives.
