Micromaster with two different rating Motor

Antony Lau Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi, I read from the previous thread said the MM4 can connect to 2 motor with total rating not existing the VSD rating. I would like to know if it apply to different rating motor and MM440 with constant torque load? The MM4 and motor would be used in newspaper printing machine? Is there any special parameter to set?

I think there will be problem of internal circulating current. I never seen anyone have used this Better you should contact Siemens A&D for further help Regards, Devesh

Gary.Hare Posts: 101 Rating: (8)	It is possible to connect multiple motors, in parallel, of different ratingsto a Micromaster providing that the sum total does not exceed the rating of the drive and the drive must be in V/F mode to do this and not Vector control. Obiously you will not get independant motor monitoring so it is recomended that some other motor overload protection is used on each motor.
