We are using Sinamics S120 Control Drives for a Hoist Application. if we run the system continuously( approximately 1 hr with allowed load ) the drive triggers Fault "F30004 Power unit: Over Temperature heat sink AC inverter " .

The torque is under 40% at the beginning of cycles ( 1 cycle is Up 7mtr & Down 7mtr  in  60 sec) and getting increased to 95 % after sometime .we couldnt understand why its not getting fault beginning  and what makes it getting overload after a whil.

FYI ,The drive panel has sufficient cooling & cooling fan is working fine.

   Once I was being assured by customer which told me that cooling is OK, and he could not figure out why VFD went to OFF over time.

As it turned out the cooling facilities were "fine". True, they were drawing warm air through VFD, and its temperature was getting higher and higher over time.

have you checked the pulse frequency p1800 (maybe you can reduce it).

What is the setting for p290?

Is it possible to close the brake at standstill?

Cabin Mount Air Conditioner Unit provided for the drive panel. The maintained Panel temperature setpoint is 28 deg C . The same temperature is measured during drive fault.

I)p1800 is 2Khz already and cannot reduce further .
