Basically this motor should run with a F-TM Stepdrive ST.
The encoder has A and B track only and no Z track.
Hence the drive it self runs not on closed loop speed control s(similar to a servo control).
It is a heterodyned stepper mode, to avoid loosing of steps.
There the adjustment of the run current is important.

The achievabl speed depends not only on the nos of pole pairs, it depends on the run current too.
