CPU fault

Sindhu Posts: 163 Rating: (0)	I have a redundant CPU412--3H controllers.For the first time in the first CPU,when i download the harware configuration,it gets downloaded using MPI cable-PC adapter USB.When I download it to the second CPU,I have problem.It says online communication cannot be established.So I tried exchanging the CPU,and I find to chk any problem in rack because the working CPU on the primary works good on the second rack too.How should I detect where is the problem whether in the CPU.I personally feel the CPU has some fault

A.K Singh Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Dear Its better if you use netpro for download the program/hardware for first time. for that you need to design your system in netpro , i mean you have to make the connectiion there. at least for first time you must have to download the hardware from netpro. Make sure that Rack settings (Rack 0 and 1) are right. Please check the switch on the rear of each CPU If you have RAM then there's no need to download to second CPU but if you have EPROM then you must download your project to the second CPU as well. Sindhu Posts: 163 Rating: (0)	The rack setting is done right with help of that switch.For the first time when we have to download,we have to seperately download the hardware configuration to each of the redundant CPU with direct connections to the primary CPU and secondary CPU. The CPU in which i have problem is not getting downloaded even if its exchanged the rack position. My prob is CPU cannot be downloaded (Connection cannot be established to the CPU)What can be the prob. Also I face another prob,when i power on the CP443-1 module,all the LEDs except run indication LED glows,when i download the configuration though the CP443-1 shows running condition ONLINE ,the run indication is not glowing.What should i do

A.K Singh Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Dear Sidhu, In H-system if hardware you puttted in both redundant racks must be of same type(every thingh matches ditto) and if you have a doubt on the CPU then you can check the cpu by simply use it as a single on a single rack if its work then you did some mistake in configuration. its better if you attach your program backup herein FAQ only upto the configuration stage(with netpro). I also recommend to perform a memory reset and download only your hardware configuration. Best regards. H-H

If it's different and you download the original setting will be changed. Please check if that is the case. Regards, Vishal Parmar.
