I have never used one of these before and so please excuse my ignorance. Firstly, I am connecting this to a LAL30-025-55 Linear Actuator http://www.smac-mca.com/products.htm If anyone has any experience of this working or not working, I would like to hear. Pinouts to be connected are LAA-5 male Input http://www.smac-mca.com/laa5pinouts.htm One of the important functions I wish to carry out is a soft land, about 0.25N,I am told this can be done if I can limit the current.The routine consists of a controlled low force approach in velocity mode, while the position error is constantly monitored. Once contact is made the position error builds up until a pre-programmed figure is reached resulting in the rod maintaining position on the surface of the component. I then need to know what this stopped positon is.
