Hello DesignTech, You are not missing anything, Y-Link is constructedof 2 IM153-2 (ET200M) and a Y-Coupler and they are linked together by active bus units. If one IM153-2 fails, the H-System can still communicate with slaves using the other IM but if Y-Coupler or both IMs fail then you will lose all stations. It is always better to go for red. bundlesThen, 1- Each ET200M station will not depend on Y-Link status 2- You will ignore the bottle neck of Y-Link (244 bytes of I/Os). 3- You can make use of DPV1 interrupts but behind Y-Link youwill use DPV0 ET200M.
